It must be the teacher in me that enjoys planning. Of course back in my teaching days, extensive planning was required: term plans, weekly plans, daily plans and lesson plans. It was both exhilarating and exhausting.
Life as a Stay At Home does not require the same level of planning. Although for someone programmed to plan, such as myself, I still enjoy planning various occassions, events, not to mention the general day to day life of our family. The time has come to rely on more than a just a wall calendar and scraps of paper that I’ve been using recently. I’m really excited that the good people at http://personal-planner.com.au/ have given me a voucher to spend on a Personal Planner for 2013.
Oh the possibilities! I feel I’m going to be so much more organised keeping everything in one place as I organise dates for playgroup and school dates. And or course there is always doctor appointments, coffee dates, birthdays, anniversaries. No excuse to miss a date right? (Ahem…) And then there are the dates I’m dreaming of putting in my diary for this year. A weekend away with the hubster without kids, maybe an overseas holiday before we have to pay for the triplet’s flights or my own trip to a spa for a manicure, facial or massage?
In any case Personal Planner has a brilliant product where I will be able to record my ‘stuff’ in a really attractive book. I love the fact that you can put a personalised picture on the front. But which photo to choose?
No matter if I can’t choose, there are plenty of other attractive options.
I could even be tempted to go simple with just my name and a chic design on the front…
- Design the front/back cover
- Tons of ways to design the inside to suit your style & needs.
- Add friends & family members birthdays to the inlay
- Choose between 4 different sizes
- You pick the start date.
- And best of all its fun and easy 🙂
- Entries close on Wednesday 30th January, Winners will be contacted first, therefore it is imperative I have a way of contacting you. If necessary, leave an email address in your comment or email me your address if you would prefer. (My address is listed on the right hand side of this page)
- International entrants are accepted.
- Prize cannot be exchanged for money

For the personal planner, I would put a collage of all of my hopes and dreams for 2013. I would put a picture of a cap and gown, a picture of my family (I go to school away from home so this would be great to finally meet up with them again after not seeing them for over a year), I would put a picture of my dream house, my dream trip to Spain and Italy, a picture of the car I would like to have and a picture of the place I’m going to move to for my first job. Thanks. My email is calliemehome@gmail.com
I’d pick a photo of my little boy for the design, then I can see his cute little face all day. As well as school holidays (I’m a teacher too) I’d plan visits to my niece and nephews and an island/hot holiday this year, our last ones have all been to the cold/snow!
I like the Blue one wirh good luck on it, my husband is a wedding celebrant, so I would get something like, “wedding dates” on the front and would have it all fixed up with the bits and pieces for his business…
They’re amazing! I’m having information overload just reviewing the options! I’d probably select a square design, because it’s atypical enough to be delightful. I might even go with a notebook, rather than a planner, just because I prefer the idea of not being tied to a specific “year”. The cover would either be a collage of my favorite family snaps or maybe just one black n’ white capturing a favorite moment in our history – I have some beautiful beach ones that might work. What a fab idea. Definitely nothing I’ve seen like that here. 🙂
I would have my motto for 2013 on the cover, “if you fail to plan, you plan to fail”, I plan to use my planner to ensure my life is organised this year, I need the planner to do all the planning 🙂

My planners of the past have been so mundane,
and preparing my weeks has been such a pain
but with a Personal Planner of my own creation,
the only thing missing will be a photo of my dalmation..
No, wait! That’s not right!
She will be on the front in colours so bright!
And what will I plan to do?
Find ways to make my career dreams come true!

I would love to win this prize because I’m launching an online start-up and I need to keep up-to-date with appointments, dealdlines and various commitments!
For the planner design, I would use the logo of the start-up at the wrong and include a series of inspirational quotes inside!
I’ve jut taken a great photo of my kids in my son’s classroom on the first day of school. There’s something so exciting about the start of a school year; so full of possibilities. I’d put that on the front of my planner. Last year my diary was full of work, work and more work. This year, partly prompted by a friend losing her child, I’ve been inspired to fill my life with the things that really matter. So I’ll be scheduling playdates for the kids; there’ll be family adventures; more holidays; and date nights with my husband.
I would put a photo of a memory of my friends/family to remember on the cover. I’m a very busy student, so I will be using my planner for schoolwork, essays and career aspirations. I want to use the planner for helping me chase my dream career as well. Thanks for reading this!
My favourite planners always include some sort of floral design, so I’d stick with that.
My plans include: bookclub dates (!!), date nights with my husband and the Gold Coast half marathon, which I am determined to finish this year. Hooray for me!
I’m in a bit of a green funk at the moment; the pattern they have with all the green dots would be cute! Brighten up a teacher desk (or student desk full of textbooks – ha!). And of course, I’ve got pracs and days in the Happy Heart house and hopefully a trip to America to jot down in there. 🙂
